# Rules and Regulations for Racing Teams

## **Team Composition and Roles**

### Mandatory Team Setup:

* Each team must have 5 members with specific roles:
  * Racer 1: Responsible for driving and representing the team in races.
  * Racer 2: (Additional) Responsible for driving and representing the team in races.
  * Mechanic: Handles vehicle maintenance, repairs, and pre-race inspections.
  * Tuner: Modifies and optimizes vehicle performance within approved limits.
  * Manager: Oversees team operations, race registrations, and communication.

## **2. Vehicle Regulations**

### Approved Vehicles Only:

* Teams must import track vehicles through authorized channels.
* Track vehicles are the only vehicles permitted on the racetrack.

### Vehicle Usage Rules:

* Track vehicles must not be driven on public roads under any circumstances. Use transport trailers or other approved means to move vehicles.
* No unauthorized modifications are allowed. All tuning must be completed by the team’s Tuner and verified by the Mechanic.
* Nitrous is strictly prohibited in all races.

### Inspection and Approval:

* All vehicles must pass pre-race inspections conducted by racing officials.
* Any vehicle found violating regulations will be disqualified, and penalties may apply to the team.

##  **Team Registration and Eligibility**

### Registration Process:

* Teams must register with the racing authority by submitting the following: (before each race)
  * Team name (Team number will be provided by the officials)
  * Logo and name of the sponsor must be submitted (if any)
  * A list of members with their respective roles.
  * Details of the track vehicle, including import and tuning records.

### Fitness Requirements:

* Racers must undergo a fitness assessment conducted by EMS to ensure they are physically capable of handling the rigors of racing.
* Teams without a certified Racer will not be allowed to participate.

### Participation Requirements:

* Teams must register for each race event before the deadline.
* Late or incomplete registrations will not be accepted.

## **4. Radio Communication Protocols**

### Mandatory Radio Usage:

* Teams must use designated radio frequencies for communication:
  * Team Radio: For internal team discussions and strategy.
  * Announcement Radio: For receiving official race updates.

### Supplementary Radios:

* Additional frequencies are available for specific purposes:
  * Emergency Force Radio: For reporting incidents to law enforcement or EMS.
  * Commentary Radio: For listening to race commentary and public updates.

### Radio Etiquette

* Maintain clear and concise communication on all frequencies.
* Avoid interfering with other teams’ communications.

## **5. Race Day Conduct**

### Pre-Race Requirements:

* Vehicles must be tuned, inspected, and ready before the race begins.
* Teams must confirm their presence on the Announcement Radio before the start.

### On-Track Behavior:

* Racers must drive responsibly and avoid reckless or aggressive behavior.
* Any collisions or incidents must be reported immediately via the appropriate channel.

### Weapons and Prohibited Items:

* No weapons, nitrous, or other unauthorized items are allowed on the racetrack or in team possession during the event.

### Post-Race Protocol

* Vehicles must return to the team’s designated garage or transport area after the race.
* Teams are encouraged to participate in post-race interviews or commentary for an immersive experience.

## **Team Management and Strategy**

### Manager Responsibilities:

* The Manager must ensure that the team adheres to all rules and regulations.
* They are responsible for coordinating radio communication and filing necessary documentation.

### Assistant Role:

* Assistants support team operations by maintaining records, organizing schedules, and providing real-time updates to the team.

### Multi-Race Participation:

* Teams are expected to participate in multiple races to maintain eligibility for championship rankings.

## **7. Penalties and Violations**

### Common Violations:

* Driving a track vehicle on public roads.
* Using nitrous or unauthorized modifications.
* Failure to comply with registration or inspection protocols.

### Penalties:

* Violations will result in penalties ranging from fines, point deductions, suspension, or permanent disqualification based on severity.
* Repeated violations may result in team dissolution.

## **Collaboration with Authorities and Officials**

### Emergency Situations:

* Teams must cooperate with law enforcement and EMS during emergencies.
* Report incidents immediately using the Emergency Force Radio.

### Inspections and Audits:

* Teams must submit to random inspections by racing officials.
* Compliance with rules is mandatory at all times.

## On Track Rules:

**Safety Car Protocol**

### Safety Car Deployment:

* If a vehicle crashes and cannot move, a Safety Car will be deployed.
* The crashed vehicle will be towed to the respective team’s allotted space by event officials.

### Racer Behavior During Safety Car:

* No overtaking during the Safety Car period.
* Racers must drive in a single file at a consistent and safe speed.
* Overtaking or failing to maintain order during this time will result in penalties.

### Resuming the Race:

* The race resumes when officials signal the end of the Safety Car period.

## **Pre-Race Schedule and Regulations**

### Practice Session:

* Races will have a 1-hour practice session before the qualifiers.

### Qualifiers:

* Qualifiers may be conducted as a sprint or other formats based on official instructions provided before the race.
* Teams are allowed to modify the cars only until the qualifiers.
* Modifications must remain unchanged for both the qualifiers and the race.
* Violation: Any changes made to the vehicle post-qualifiers will result in team disqualification.

### Race Duration:

* Races will consist of 3 to 10 laps, depending on the circuit, number of participants, and other conditions.

## **Pit Stops and Team Zones**

1. Fuel Stations and Mechanic Zones:

* Dedicated fuel and mechanic zones will be set up in each team’s allotted slots.
* Racers must plan pit stops strategically to avoid losing positions.

### Pit Lane Conduct:

* Racers must adhere to speed limits within the pit lane.
* Violation: Speeding in the pit lane will incur penalties.

## **Race Behavior and Penalties**

### Prohibited Actions:

* Corner Cutting: Taking shortcuts or going straight through turns.
* Aggressive Defense: Excessively blocking opponents in a dangerous manner.
* Illegal Overtaking: Passing outside of allowed zones or during Safety Car periods.
* Unnecessary Braking: Abrupt braking to disrupt other racers.
* Bumping into Cars: Colliding with opponents intentionally or recklessly.
* Burnouts: Performing burnouts on the track.
* Speeding in Pit Lane: Failing to comply with pit lane speed limits.

## Penalty System:

### Violating any race rules will result in position downgrading:

* For example, if a player in 1st place receives a penalty, they will be moved to 2nd place, and the player in 2nd place will advance to 1st place.
* Severe or repeated violations may lead to disqualification.
