# On-Duty Rules

1. **Duty Requirement:** Officers must be clocked in as PD and available for duty when wearing the uniform or using department vehicles.
2. **Chain of Command:** Follow the chain of command. Orders from superior officers must be followed unless they contradict server rules or basic roleplay etiquette.
3. **Proper Use of Equipment:** Use PD equipment (vehicles, weapons, tools) responsibly and realistically. Do not misuse department resources.
4. **Realistic Deployment of Force:** Only use force when necessary and escalate it appropriately. Always prioritize de-escalation over violence.
5. **Vehicle Pursuits:** Pursuits must be conducted with public safety as a priority. Follow server guidelines for pursuit tactics, including authorized vehicle models.
6. **Weapon Discharge:** Firing weapons is only permitted when the situation justifies lethal force. All shootings must be documented in reports.
7. **Arrest Procedures:** Ensure suspects are Mirandized (read their rights) before questioning or processing. Failure to do so may invalidate charges.
